Plans, pricing and billing

Compare the Starter, Team and Business plans, start the 14-day trial without a card, see what the account uses of its limits, and change the plan.

Plans

Each Stagely account has one plan. Its price covers the account, not each person in it: every plan has unlimited members. The machines that run your stagelets, and the rest of your cloud costs, stay on your own cloud bill.

Plan Monthly Annual Concurrent stagelets Environments Pack of 10 extra stagelets
Starter $199 $1,990 10 1 None
Team $499 $4,990 50 3 $149 a month, $1,490 a year
Business $1,499 $14,990 200 Unlimited $99 a month, $990 a year

The annual price costs as much as ten months. On Team and Business, each pack adds 10 concurrent stagelets, and an account can add up to 50 packs. A pack costs less on Business. From 120 stagelets, Business costs less than Team with packs.

Subscribe

Open Billing. Choose Monthly or Annual, then click Subscribe to the plan you want. Stripe Checkout opens. Every member can subscribe.

The account’s first subscription starts with a 14-day trial, and Checkout asks for no card. To keep deploying after the trial, an admin or owner adds a card in Manage billing before it ends. If the trial ends without a card, the subscription ends.

Limits

Billing shows the plan’s limits and what the account uses of them.

  • Concurrent stagelets. A stagelet counts until Stagely deletes it, whatever its state. When the account is at the limit, Stagely refuses a deploy that needs a new stagelet and says why: on the pull request, in the console or to the coding agent. Deploys and resets of stagelets that exist still work. To deploy a new pull request, delete a stagelet, change to a bigger plan or add stagelets.
  • Environments. When the account has as many environments as its plan allows, Stagely refuses to create another one, also from stagely setup.

Change the plan

Admins and owners can change the plan. Open Billing, click Switch to the plan you want, then Confirm. The new limits apply at once. Stripe puts the difference for the rest of the billing period on the next invoice. A change between monthly and annual billing starts a new billing period, and Stripe charges for it at once.

To add or remove extra stagelets, set the number of packs under Extra stagelets and click Save. A change to Starter removes the packs.

When the account changes to a smaller plan, its stagelets and environments keep running. Stagely refuses only new ones above the new limits.

Payments

Admins and owners see Manage billing, which opens the Stripe billing portal. There they update the card, see invoices and cancel the plan.

Deploys stay on while the subscription is active or in its trial. They also stay on while Stripe retries a failed payment. When the retries run out and Stripe ends the subscription, Stagely refuses new deploys and says why. Stagelets that run keep running, and members can still open and delete them.
